Our founder: Prof. Manjit Singh
Starting to learn Tabla under one of the most well established and renowned Tabla players in Punjab, Ustad Kulwinder Singh, traditional discpile of Ustad Allah Rakha Khan; Manjit Singh upholds the essence of traditional Tabla playing as well as teaching. He had worked with Khalsa College for Women Ludhiana as a music lecturer. He also formed a group with his fellow students, named Taal Sadhna and released a music album by T-series in 2005. He has performed in many famous classical music concerts in India and United Kingdom. Manjit Singh moved to New Zealand in 2008, spreading the divinity and making people understand the sheer complexity of Indian Classical Music. In a span of just 2 years, he has come to be known as one of the most well established Tabla players and music teachers in this country.
He is the founding member of NAAD Charitable Trust and Rhythm School of Music, and also works actively with organisations like Gurmat Sangeet Vidyalaya and Sikh Heritage School.
